The first mistake is to join an affiliate program and not put their affiliate URL link onto their own website or blog. The second mistake is not getting your own domain name. Your own website must have your own domain name so that your business looks real. Also, your website must be a paid for web hosting site and never a free one. Free websites are fine for fun but should never be your main website for business.

The third mistake is not having an attention grabbing headline at the top of the page. This headline should clearly identify what the reader is likely to find and not be vague or misleading, or your visitor will click the x at the top right of their browser and never return to your site.

Mistake 4 is not having a sub-heading after the headline that gives further information about your article. This should also make your reader want to stay and read your website article. Mistake number 5 is writing boring articles or sales letters that don't get the reader excited about your offer. Or not giving the reader sufficient reasons to buy or join what you are offering. People will always ask "what's in it for me?" Give them reasons to click on your order page link, create excitement.

The 6th mistake is failing to add bonuses to add perceived value to your offer and making the offer for a limited time only, "order before 12.00 midnight to receive these bonuses or this offer will be removed in 48 hours from today". If you do this, you must remove the offer as stated or you will never be taken seriously. The next time someone visits your site, they will not risk missing out and will be more likely to buy.

Mistake 7 is failing to make it easy for the visitor to order due to poor design of the website links or too complicated a route to your order page. The link on your site should direct your visitor to the affiliate URL website that you were given when you signed up. Make sure that your article has made them hungry to join or order the product by the time they leave or they might just take a peek out of curiosity and leave that website too.

The biggest mistake is using a background other than white as here. Fancy yellows or black are not for business use, so never use any other background ever. Also use black writing, never use any other colour except when there is a URL link to your order page, this will automatically be blue, which is as it should be. Some use of colour is acceptable as long as it is minimal, some people use red or mauve to make a strong point that grabs the readers attention, but don't over do it.
